The bell has rung for Year Twelve School Leavers

Project School Formal has launched its 2023 campaign to provide a safe, supported place for School Formal graduating students who are needing formal attire.

This community project has their back with this service at no cost to the students.

Project School Formal founder Gay Hold-Carpenter’s big smile lit up the space in Grand Central Shopping Centre opposite Athlete’s Foot when volunteers gathered to introduce this year’s program of support.

With a wonderful contribution of 100 suits in all colours, styles and sizes from the Rotary Club Stanthorpe, the opening of the new location was off and running.

This is what generosity and teamwork can accomplish – happy students who might otherwise miss this milestone in their life’s journey.

This annual project relies on many volunteers and Gay and strong supporter, Suzie Holt, invited as many volunteers as possible to help out this coming Saturday any time from 6am til 1pm to set up the shop.

For those who can help out the entrance via Margaret Street will get volunteers in.

Racks and hangers and setting up the many donations will need many hands.

Appointments for students can be booked here now, and will be open by appointment only on Monday 28th August until the end of October.
